Crystal magic

4.5 stars. This is my second time reading this series and I love it just as much as the first time. The only reason I didn't rate a full five stars was, because that fact that the two characters have the same name just spelled differently and a lot of the book center around a crystal that they are trying to get which kind of just

bugged me a bit the second time around reading this. However I still fully enjoyed the book. :)

Kristyl Barnette must move to a small town called Clearwater with her aunt Jodi once she learns while in school that her mother has been in a car accident and is deceased . Once she's in her bedroom at her new home she finds a ring that belongs to her father and has a vison of the past. When Kristyl attends her first day of school she bumps into a girl causing the girls coffee to spill all over her. She meets Owen and his group of friends. Kristyl meets Fox holloway in her aunts shop in town. In class Kristyl experiences a small earthquake with a little bit of weird action from crystal and her friend. Fox tries to chat with Kristyl again at the shop and Kristyl experiences the weird effects from Fox once again when he is near. Kristyl goes to a movie night at west with the group of friends she has made. Kristyl goes dress shopping with Lexie after movie night when she learns about the harvest dance and is invite to join them at the dance. Crystal and Bridget continue to try to get Kristyl to learn about magic and witches. Kristyl and Owen help a teacher do outdoor gardening for sixth period and once the day is done Kristyl find a necklace in the girls bathroom and when she picks it up she has a vison of green eyes. When she goes to return it to the office they see Crystal talking to the principle about it. When Kristyl goes to return the necklace back to her she remembers she noticed her wearing it the first day of school. As the week goes by the dance night finally arrives. As the dance continues when Owen and Kristyl are dancing they hear a screaming and see that Mrs.Cole is laying on the ground and is dead. Owen confides in Kristyl about what happened to Felix before his car accident the night of the dance. Kristyl tells him about the flashes she sometimes sees and when she can sometimes read what people are thinking. They consider them to be witches. When Kristyl and Owen go to speak to Jodi about what they think to be. Jodi tells them that she's a witch herself. Once Jodi goes to have dinner with a friend, Kristyl lets Owen know about her past with her father and what happened to her mother and why she's in clear water. Kristyl finally knows who she really is. At Mrs.Cole funeral Crystal confides in Kristyl about magic and offers to help her learn how to use her magic. When Kristyl goes to crystal and her group of friends with magic, she learns that they want more power and to anchor there magic to a crystal with very old powerful magic. Days go by until the movie night at the bookstore finally arrives, once the movie is over Kristyl is waiting outside when Tucker goes to Kristyl and doesn't let Kristyl leave from the wall and she uses her powers to get him off when Owen comes out and sees what tucker was doing he hits him and takes Kristyl home. Before Owen leaves he kisses Kristyl and they share there first kiss. When Kristyl goes inside the house she finds Jodi lying on the floor of there green house and they learn that she has the same curse that killed Mrs.Cole. Kristyl takes action and joins Crystals group and searches for the crystal that the group wants to anchor themselves too. Kristyl and crystals group figure out that they need to do a time travel spell back before the fire of Crystal's aunt and get the crystal before it explodes into pieces. After Crystal and Kristyl get back from the past to get the crystal they come back and find that there reality has changed.
