                  Spoiler review!!!!!!

Katy moves to West Virginia with her mother from Florida to start over. There she meets her neighbor the arrogant jerk Daemon Black and begin to form a friendship with his sister Dee which he doesn't approve of. Daemon and Katy spend more time over summer break and when Katy and Daemon are hiking in the woods they come across a bear when the bear rushes at them katy passes out from fear, however before she does she sees a blinding light behind her closed eyes and heat. Days go by after the bear incident and Katy goes to the library and a man asks for help in the middle of the night and asks for a tire iron for a flat tire. However when Katy decides to help the man he begins to attack her asking "where they are" as he is beating her. When someone saves katy from the attacker and he touches her arm and she feels a warmth going threw her body and when she looks up to see who it is its Daemon. After spending time with Dee and Daemon her injuries started to heal faster than normal and things weren't adding up to Katy. When Katy goes back to school after the attack and there she learns from Lesa and Carissa about Dawson the missing twin and how he had died. As the day goes by Katy goes to lunch and tries to sit with

Dee, however Daemon and Ash don't welcome her to the table and katy when they are mean to her Katy decides to dump her tray of food on them both. However she gets in trouble with one of the teachers Mr,Garrison. Soon after Daemon asks Katy to go on a hike and he tries to apologize to Katy about how he and Ash acted in the cafeteria at school. However he also tells Katy she can't be friends with Dee or them. Katy getting upset runs away in from the hike trail in the woods and his almost home when she goes to cross the road she is almost hit by a truck until everything around her froze in place. Katy turns around in the road to see Daemon concentrating and the blurring out and become a being of light. Katy begins to freak out and run of until Daemon crashes into her and pins her to the ground. Daemon explains to Katy that they are aliens, Luxen. Daemon also explains that she has a trace on her like she is glowing from with in. and that they have an enemy called Arum. As the days go she also learns more of there abilities that they have and there world. Along with learning about the DOD "department of defense". As months turn into October the dance comes up and Katy goes with the football player Simon from class and goes to a party in the field with the school. As the events go on Katy and Daemon get into a fight with the Arum on the way home. Soon after the Arum in the group are slowly killed off the last one Baruck goes to try to lurer Daemon to kill him and instead Katy distracts Baruck out in the field from the dance and ends up almost dying with Dee but somehow Daemon heals both her and Dee and Katy takes on there abilities and kills Baruck. Katy is turned into a hybrid Luxen.
